Tumacanbac: Saturday, January 25, 2025
A variety of raptors winter in the Grand Valley with the open fields and desert among their favored habitats. Tumacnbac is Grand Valley Audubon’s most popular field trip conducted annually since 1987.
The valley has grown considerably since then and traffic has increased. For safety’s sake, we are limiting the number of vehicles to 2-3 and participants to 7.
We will meet at 9 a.m. at the parking area just south of the little white house at the west entrance into Canyon View Park, of 726 24 Rd. We will return between 2-3 p.m.
Dress for the weather, bring drinks and snacks or a lunch to eat along the way, we won’t be stopping for lunch. If you need binoculars, please let your leader know before the day of the trip. If you have a spotting scope bring it along.
